At P. Hopman, we strive for the highest quality for our products. Our strict quality standards apply to both incoming and outgoing flower bulbs. Should a batch of flower bulbs fail to meet our quality requirements, we use an X-ray machine to separate the bad bulbs from the good ones. This way, we can always supply the highest quality flower bulbs.

      

Sustainability

As an export company, we're committed to sustainable product sales. We work with MPS-A+ certified companies, which means that these companies operate sustainably: minimal use of pesticides, low energy consumption and waste separation. MPS is a globally recognised hallmark. Our suppliers are also PrimaBol-certified, a hallmark of the Royal General Association of Flower Bulb Growers (KAVB). Moreover, our suppliers do not use pesticides containing neonicotinoids, substances that kill aphids but are harmful to bees.

           

In short, this is how P. Hopman contributes to sustainable operations:

• We work with MPS-A+ certified companies which means our suppliers work sustainably: i.e. as few pesticides as possible, low energy consumption and waste separation. MPS is a worldwide quality trademark.
• Our suppliers also do not use agents with neonicotinoids, which are agents that kill lice but also bees.
• 50% of our processing barns are equipped with solar panels and this is still under development
• The energy used has a sustainable background
• We work with certified suppliers
• The cultivation of flower bulbs at our nursery takes place under strict PlanetProof standards.
